MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements must be met if you are applying to Yukon Critical Impact Worker Stream:
1- Job Offer Requirement
The position offered must be in National Occupation Classification (NOC) TEER 4 or 5 (➨Appendix 1) and you must have required qualifications to work in your job in Yukon.
The Employer must have a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) (➨immilib.com/LMIA) or proof of job advertising.

If you completed your studies outside of Canada, you need to get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) (➨Appendix 3) that proves your education is equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma.

WHAT STEPS SHOULD YOU TAKE?
Step 1: Get a Job Offer in Yukon
As a foreign worker in Canada, you first need to find an employer and secure the job for yourself . The criteria for your job in Yukon are explained in “Minimum Requirements”.

Step 3: Apply for Work Permit
If you don’t have a work permit or if your work permit is expiring within six (6) months, when you receive a nomination by YNP, you can apply for work permit (➨Page).
Step 4: Apply for Permanent Residence
Within three (3) to six (6) months of your arrival to Yukon, you must submit a complete application for a permanent resident visa (➨Page). You must submit your application using the IRCC Permanent Residence Portal (PR Portal) (➨ immilib.com/PR-Portal).
Apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (if applicable)
If you are in Canada on a work permit and your PR application is not finalized, you may be able to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) (➨Page). This will let you to stay and continue working on a valid work permit until your PR application is finalized.
Step 5: Landing in Canada
You will only become a Permanent Resident of Canada when you cross a Canadian port of entry. This is referred to as ‘landing in Canada' (➨Page).
